Y Beuno is situated in an area steeped in mythological history, surrounded by spectacular mountain and coastal scenery, rich in cultural and natural heritage. The village of Clynnog Fawr itself sits on the north coast of the Lleyn Peninsula, where the Nantlle Valley meets the sea.

The valley is flanked on the southern side by the mountains forming the Nantlle Ridge extending from mighty Snowdon itself down to the Rival Mountains and the sea. Looking westwards on a clear day the Wicklow Mountains of Ireland can be seen.
